On November 2, TKM International Consulting participated in an online commission organized by Unifab (Union des Fabricants). The event was held under the theme “One country, one IP: East European Actualities”, with the speakers presenting updates on IP situations in particular regions.
Frederic Capellier, CEO at TKM, delivered a speech on IP situation in Russia. He explained in detail the latest changes in the Russian legislation and outlined how the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative impact on the Russian economy that led to an increase in the volume of counterfeit produced and distributed in the online and offline markets of Russia. Frederic also emphasized that the situation with counterfeiting is getting worse, but despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, TKM continues its operations aimed at protecting its clients’ reputations at full tilt.
The participants exchanged views on the current situation and discussed effective strategies for fighting against counterfeiting at this difficult time.
