AEB have published an article written by TKM International Consulting and titled “Implementing Regulatory Compliance and Sapin II in Business: Client Case” in their quarterly report.
Frederic Capellier, CEO at TKM, shared his expertise on the importance of compliance with business legal standards and also provided a practical case, stating the obvious benefits of introducing compliance into the internal and external processes organizations.
The entrance of Russian organizations into foreign markets, as well as the entrance of foreign companies into the Russian market, requires compliance with legal standards of doing business. In particular, these standards include regulatory compliance — a relatively new phenomenon for the Russian economy.
Frederic also mentioned the peculiarities of the French law Sapin II, that frames TKM’s legal support practices.
More than a thousand French enterprises operate in Russia, and it is of significant importance for them to comply with the French law on Transparency, Fight Against Corruption and Modernization of the Economy (“Sapin II”), which was adopted in 2016 to combat corruption and ensure transparency in doing business in France and beyond.
The reality is that companies that neglect the ethics and regulatory compliance culture will always be at risk. It is especially important to clearly define company values and ensure that employees keep up with the corporate culture.
